Reflection 4

INCREDIBLE! I am amazing by the ending. Lexi had really changed from the start of the book till now and she has become a much better person in the way that she thinks and in also the things that she does. She has now learnt to expect things and do them with pride. WOW! Lexi also got like 10x smarter, she worked out that La Fleur was actually going to interrupt her father’s business and she did everything in her power to save him. I love it how in this last chapter she comes to her senses about everything, she finds out about her mother and she wants to know why that was kept from her for so long. She finds out that her father was always trying to protect her and she didn’t want what happened to mother to happen to her. I also liked it how Lexi went about and beyond to save her dad and then wondered why after everything that he had not done for her. She did I anyway and saved the father, she turned out to be not a spoilt brat but a reasonable and great girl. I COULD NOT STOP SMILING WHEN LEXI DENIED THE CHECK! I wanted to punch her and ask her what she was doing but as I kept reading it became fro clear to me that she was very responsible about her decision and that is amazing because from what she was to what she is now, she has grown up physically but emotionally and mentally as well. I am so happy about Mr. Larbree and how he poured his heart out to Lexi, I nearly started crying. It would have been such a special moment for Lexi, emotionally talking to her father for once in a long time. I HOPE THAT LEXI AND LUKE STAY TOGTHER FOREVER! They are the perfect couple. I have loved reading this book and it has been amazing, every chapter with a different problem and every sebtence with thrilling information. I would defintaly recommend this book to anyone. I think that people who read all different types of books would be able to pick this up and enjoy it, like I did, I am very glad that I go this book and I have once again lived another life in another fantastic story, Like Lexi!

Bridge Builder

I am building a bridge between Lexi and myself because I feel like we relate on a level. She has started out doing something that she is unsure about and is not sure the purpose. I feel like we all start like that even in school and doing some subjects that are irrelevant and you think that they are meaningless, but they actually turn out to be a very important part of your life and you eventually come to relies that. I was very proud of Lexi in the end and how she was given what she wanted but denied it because she wanted to finish what she started successfully and she wanted to earn the check from all of her had work. I think that this relates to me because in the end I learn to enjoy things and try and get the most out of them by staying focused and not taking anything for granted.

I have only chosen to relate myself to Mr. Larbree because of his determination and hard work. I think that I am a very driven and focused person on work, and you can sometimes get to caught up that you forget about things around you. I think that I can relate myself to Mr. Larbree because he went a started a company that earned him a living and I think that with persistence I can do something like that too.

Oddly enough I think that Lexi and Richard are very much alike in the way that they worked for what they wanted. Even though Richard started out with nothing and worked very hard towards something, Lexi started with everything and took it all for granted so she has to work for what she wants and in the end they both end up working hard for they want to achieve or accomplish.

  1. LUKE

I really enjoyed the character of Luke in this book and he does remind me of myself, only in the way that work and business can get in the way of life and having fun. I think that you can never work too hard but you always sometimes think to hard and forget to just let go a little bit and focus on other things other then work. I feel like I am the same with school because I sometimes get to caught up in the school work and I forget to have fun along the way. I also liked it how Lexi brought out the fun in Luke and Luke brought out the work ethic in Lexi. I think that they suit each other perfectly.

Reflection 3

I have not been able to put the book down for the last few days! It has gotten so tense and the suspense is making it worse. I am loving the plot that is happening and the problems that have occurred in the recent chapters. I am loving Lexi. At the start of the book she was annoying me because she was a spoilt brat – but ow she has come to her senses and she is starting to act more like a regular person. She has been thinking and she is more concerned about her mother and she wants to get to know more about what she was like and what really happened to her. I also like it how she is trying to make the best outcome of the bad situation she is in. I think that Lexi has a crush on LUKE! I know how she is saying bad things about him but I feel like deep down she likes him, I hope that they get together. Ronaldo! Where do i start, he is the nicest person ever and I am so glad that Lexi meet him. I HOPE THAT LEXI AND RONALDO STAY FRIENDS FOREVER! I think that are great because Ronaldo gives great advice and Lexi follows it and she changes who she is, in a good way. I think so far in the book Ronaldo has made a really good impact on Lexi and I think that is exactly what she needs. I can’t to finish the book and see what happens next!

Discussion Director

This week I was in the role of the Director and I had to prepare questions depending on what I have read recently. These are some of the questions that I have written about the last few chapters.

  1. What do you think of Lexi’s new approach to working? (she is starting to try and find the good in working and not dwell on the bad)
  2. What are your thoughts on Ronaldo? Do you like him? Why?
  3. Do you think that the dad told on Lexi? Do you think it was the right thing to do?
  4. Who do you think is the girl that works for her father that told? Why would she do that?
  5. Do you think Lexi has the right to know what happened to her mother? Why?

Activity 2

WOW! That is the only word to describe the book at the moment. WOW! I cant even put it down. Ever sentence is better then the previous and it is so hard to stop reading. I think if we didn’t have to stop at each chapter I would be finished because I am dying to know what happens at the end. Will Lexington finish all of her jobs? Will she quit? I am just so intreged and cant wait to read more. In this part of the book Lexington continues on working her jobs week by week and she is nearly discovered by a employee who said she looked exactly like Lexi, lucky her cover wasn’t blown because that would have been very bad for Lexington Larbree. Lexi is also shocked by some unexpected news. Her father was now engaged. AGAIN! Lexington was surprised and didn’t know why her dad kept on marrying all of these women, soon enough it will be over and the press will swarm like bees around honey. Anyway Lexi has some own problems as well as her dads. She thinks about everything that has happened from when her mother died till now and she questions if it was al really what is is today. She is also curious when a questions keeps on repeating itself over and over. Did her mum really die in a car accident or was it all to cover up? If it was what were they covering up for and why? I am loving this book so far and I love reading every chapter because the suspense builds and leaves you hanging as to what will happen. i CAN’T WAIT TO READ MORE!!

Activity 2

This is my activity this week and i chose to do the illustration of Lexi thinking because in this chapter she comes to realise a lot of things about her past and her family history. I drew a picture of her and all of the things that she would have been thinking of whilw going through this part of the chapter like ‘Why do I have to do all of these jobs? Why would my dad be marrying another women? And did my mum really die in a car accident or was that just to cover up? Cover up for what? And why?
